This statement sets out Travco's actions to understand all potential modern slavery risks related to its business pursuant to Section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. This statement relates to actions and activities during the financial year 1 March 2018 to 28 February 2019.
As part of the tourism sector, the Company recognises that it has a responsibility to take an approach to slavery and human trafficking. The Company is committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in its corporate activities, and to ensuring that its supply chains are free from slavery and human trafficking. We expect that our suppliers will hold their own suppliers to the same high standards.
This statement covers the activities of Travco Corporation Limited. Travco is a leading global hotel wholesaler and our core business focus is supplying hotel accommodation to the travel trade. We work with hotels of all sizes and status, from leading 5-star institutions and all-inclusive resorts to independent 1-star youth hostels and agents from small independent distributors to internationally renowned tour operators.
The Company operates the following policies that describe its approach to the identification of modern slavery risks and steps to be taken to prevent slavery and human trafficking in its operations.
Travco has a zero tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking and expect our suppliers and contractors to uphold the same values. Accordingly, the Company will not conduct business knowingly with anyone engaged in slavery and human trafficking practices or knowingly permit them to be carried out in any part of its business.
We encourage our employees and suppliers to be vigilant, and will continue to review how effective the steps we are taking have been in opposing modern slavery across our business and supply chain.
